How does the ski rack rental time period work?
Its our number one question. The ski rack rental period starts the day you want to receive the rack and ends the day you shipped it back to us. We look to the FedEx tracking number to determine these dates.
For instance, if you receive the rental ski/snowboard rack on a Tuesday and send it back the following Tuesday, you have rented the rack for a week and should have selected that rental option.
If you hold onto the ski rack past the agreed upon period, you will be charged a pro rate amount for the additional time period. For instance, if you signed up for two weeks, but keep the rack for a month, you will be charged for the extra two weeks.
How does return shipping work?
This is the favorite question to answer. With every rental we include a pre-paid FedEx shipping label with the luggage. All you have to do is place the prepaid return shipping label on the original box over the original shipping label and drop it off at a FedEx location. This prepaid return shipping label is addressed to our offices in Missouri.

This is probably the most important question you can ask. Check out our beginner guide found here. We offer ski racks that can hold two, four or six skis depending on the model you select. We also offer racks that can attach to naked roofs, roofs with side rails and cross rails. We also rent racks that the ski rack can attach to you if you have a naked roof. What if the ski rack is destroyed or lost or badly damaged when rented?
We never want this situation to happen. The renter is responsible for all damage to the ski rack during the rental period. If the ski rack is not returned after a reasonable period of time, the customer will be given notice and charged for replacement bicycle travel bag. Rentluggage.com retains the sole right to determine if the ski rack is lost or damaged, and the costs to be charged for repair, replacement, or cleaning.
How long does it take for the ski rack to ship?
Our standard shipping is FedEx Ground which normally takes 3 to 5 business days depending on your shipping address. If you need it quicker than FedEx Ground, we do list other shipping options available and the costs associated with them during the check out process.
Please give yourself a day or so before you live to best account for the variations that shipping companies operate under.
Where do you delivered to?
Orders can shipped to your home, office, Airbnb, Vrbo, or even Fedex or Fedex affiliate locations or a UPS location. We can’t ship to PO boxes.
If my trip is several weeks or months out should I go ahead and order it now?
Yes, double yes. We take orders several months out if you like. The sooner you place the order, the better we can guarantee you will get your bicycle travel bag on time and make sure your bag is in stock when you need it.
Can I ship the rental back from a different location compared to where I received the rental?
Yes. All of our rentals come with a Fedex return pre-paid shipping label that can be used anywhere in the Continental United States. Unlike a rental car company, we don’t charge extra for this time saving solution. Check our Guide to a One-Way Rental to learn more.
Do you ship outside the Continental United States or internationally?
No, not at this time. We can’t manage the tricky of international shipping at this time.
Is the ski rack cleaned after use?
Of course. Every time we receive the ski rack back from a customer, we disinfect the ski rack using a special process.
If I have an upcoming trip, how far off should I place my order so the bike travel is received prior to departure?
The sooner the better. We recommend a 5 business day grace period prior to any scheduled trip to ensure you receive the bike travel bag in time. If you need a rental item quicker than our standard shipping option, we do provide faster options. The costs associated with these faster shipping options are displayed during the check out process.
Where is the return shipping label located?
Double check the bottom of the shipping box. The return shipping label comes with rack inside the shipping box. If your rack did not come with a shipping label, please contact us. Don’t pay for shipping directly as we don’t reimburse for shipping charges not incurred with our prepaid shipping labels as we have special rates with Fedex and UPS.
What if I can’t find the box that the rental item came in when I want to return the item?
Please contact us immediately as depending on the rental item we can either send you another box for small fee or authorize you to use an applicable box. If you use a box that is larger than the original box you received you may be charged additional charges.
What is your Return Policy?
Rentluggage.com has a no refund policy when it comes to rentals, though if you have questions or concerns regarding your rental, we will be happy to do what we can to resolve your issues.
What is your Cancellation & Refund policy?
Rentluggage.com will cancel a particular order and issue a refund minus a $5.00 processing charge if you email us prior to a shipping email notification being sent out. If a shipping email notification is sent, a cancellation is not allowed and a refund will not be given.
