Quick Roof Top Carrier FAQ Answer

The Thule sidekick rooftop carrier comes with two locks that utilize a key to securely lock the carrier from opening when you are away from your car or on the highway driving. The rooftop carrier is locked to your car from the inside of the carrier. The Thule sidekick comes with two keys in case you misplace one, you still can operate your Thule roof top carrier. 

The Thule sidekick key is the size of a normal house key and can be added to your key chain to take with you when you leave the car and items inside your roof top carrier system.

Replacement Thule Roof Top Carrier locks and keys

Thule also sells replacement Thule roof rack lock and keys for as little as $15.  To purchase such options, you need to look for the three or four code that appears on the lock itself. This code allows you to match the right replacement key or lock.
